on 14 February 2021 in Events & Entertainment

Outback golfing? You’ve probably never heard of those two words put next to each other. But there you have it.

Introducing Australia’s latest radical golfing event, the Outback Queensland Masters certainly is no simple golf series. It’s remote. It’s set in Australia’s harshest terrains. And it’s an absolutely unique experience not to be missed by those who love combining golf, challenges, fun experiences and remarkable landscapes altogether.

What is the Outback Queensland Masters?

It’s a one of a kind golf tournament creating the best excuse to experience an ultimate Outback Queensland adventure, while playing golf. Bask in outback tales, dine under the starry night skies of the Milky Way as you are being serenaded with live music, and embrace in the absolute beauty of nature away from the concrete jungle.

Spread over six different locations featuring six unique courses over six weekends in June and July 2021, the Outback Queensland Masters is one heck of a way to indulge in the outback spirit of adventure.

And if the views aren’t enough to convince you, maybe the Million Dollar Hole-in-One challenge will instead. All you’ll have to do is play at two of the lead in courses, hit a hole-in-one on the selected hole at the Longreach final, and viola! You win.

To warm you up, there will be a $10,000 hole in one opportunity in each of the lead in courses in Biloela, Charleville, Quilpie, Blackall and Hughenden.

How to make the most of the Outback Queensland Masters

The golf tournament may be the main course, but the entire experience beyond makes up the appetizers and dessert.

Journeying from town to town as you move across Outback Queensland gives you the best opportunity to see the true landscape of the region. An adventure of a lifetime, wander into the Cosmos Centre in Charleville to discover a different world among the stars, or go fossil digging in Hughenden and discover the next big dino find. There are plenty of magnificent sites to explore, such as the Qantas Founders Museum in Longreach, which is an absolute must for those curious about aviation.

The end of the 18th July in Hughenden is when the fun begins. A night of entertainment followed by the most spectacular dinner under the Outback’s starry night sky hosted at a 5 Billion Star Hotel.

Who is the Outback Queensland Masters for?

The tournament is special as it’s exclusively for amateur golfers.

In other words, you could just count on your luck throughout your game in the Outback Queensland Masters, without having to qualify for entry. Happy hitters, club champs, beginners, weekend legends, whatever you are, you’re welcomed.
